The only other religions that I know of that also acknowledge meditation as a part of their practice is Buddhism and Islam. I know in Islam in particular it is considered to be almost a major part of the religion to look around and see the world, and be thankful and meditate in a way for what is around you and why. This is also what is done in Hinduism and Buddhism (to my knowledge) but their meditation involves actual sitting down and clearing your brain, etc etc. I myself have done quite a bit of meditation, especially when it comes to writing poetry.
