The Road Less Traveled

Alrighty, I feel like the opening paragraph to my blog is done, so to speak.  I ended with a thesis statement and now....I don't know where to go.

I wasn't going to post today, but I'm feeling inspired (a little drunk) and feel like opening up to you all.  Whether you like it or not we're going to build a connection...hopefully.  Maybe someday I'll even post my real face.  We'll see.

I'll start the opening gambit.  My real name isn't Bill.  I probably should've saved this for a season ending post.  I guess I just figure most of you would be smart enough to assume someone wouldn't post their real name all over teh internetz so whimsically.  You can still call me Bill, however.

The next thing, I started this blog as a way critique to my poetry.  I opened it up to other things, because I had a hard time containing it to poetry.  However I still need more critiques to my poems!  You all may find other things more interesting, but I'm still hoping for some poetry critiques (/compliments?).

I should probably end this here since I've been drinking (WHISKEY) and "I'm halfway to the gutter and the stars."  Goodnight fine folks.
-Bill

It's easy for the normal man
to lose itself in a star.
The vast expanse spans
wide and far
A man's mind is set to conquer
without knowledge or fear
But conquerors don't determine where
to begin with the far and the near.

For bonus points:  How does the title of this post relate to the content of the article?

  1. Nice post i like the idea of the highlights.

  2. I like how I can emphasize a line of emotion through consistent highlights. Consistent emphasis on certain points never hurt either. Thanks for the feedback!
